AR cards to be sold at retail in Europe

May 13, 2012 § Leave a comment

According to Nintendo3DSBlog.com:

Nintendo of Europe announced during the latest Nintendo Direct event that it has partnered with the Panini Group in order to sell packs of augmented reality cards for Kid Icarus: Uprising and an official AR card album in European territories. There’s no set date for when the cards will become available, but it shouldn’t be too long before we hear something.

It doesn’t specifically say that they will be sold through retailers, but I think that’s a pretty safe bet. This is only for Europe, but if the Nintendo of Europe is selling augmented reality cards, can the Nintendo of America be far behind?
