Different Release Date? (Likely False)
March 31, 2011 § 6 Comments
According to David of Nintendo3DSBlog.com, there has been a list of release date rumors floating around the internet. On this list it says that Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising are to be released May 6, and that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will be released on June 17.
Both me and David believe this list to be false, as it is unlikely Nintendo would release two of their major titles on the same day. And besides, Uprising has practically been confirmed to be released on June 17. And if it is, then that also makes it extremely unlikely for Ocarina of Time 3D to be released on June 17 also.
Another large point is that not all that much content has been released for Kid Icarus: Uprising and Star Fox 64 3D in the last couple months, making the idea of an earlier release date more unlikely. I, and many others, believe a lot more information will be revealed at E3 2011, and that the games will be released shortly afterward.
This isn’t related to Kid Icarus: Uprising, but with all of these uncertain release dates, I would like to point out that Cave Story 3D, another game remake that many people are looking forward to, is 100% confirmed to be released on June 28th. This, in contrast to the hundreds of rumors about these other games’ release dates, is a giant relief. It finally gives us some satisfaction. :)
EDIT: The earlier “confirmed” release date from the Canadian GameStop website was June 19, not June 17. Sorry, I guess I was confused.
