Well it turns out the January 19 press conference for the 3DS had nothing to do with Kid Icarus: Uprising, Paper Mario 3DS, Mario Kart 3DS, or any of the other games I’m interested in.
It did have some other interesting info about the 3DS, though, including the fact that the 3DS will cost $249.99 in North America (turns out before it was just a rumor, and now it’s official), and that it will be released on March 27, 2011. In Europe it will sell for either £229.99 or £219.99, and will be released March 25, 2011 (you lucky dogs, you get two days earlier than us!).

Notice that Uprising is not on the list, and neither are most of the games I’m currently looking forward to. However, IGN did mention that the following games may be completed and ready for sale by launch:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Star Fox 64 3D
Kid Icarus: Uprising
New Mario Kart
New Animal Crossing
New Paper Mario
And there is our star, Uprising. The game has been expected to be a launch title since it was announced, and it still may be.
Uh huh, Paper Mario is going to be awesome too, but I don’t want to stray too far from Uprising, considering my whole post about propaganda.
Anyway, we at least have something to look forward to!
